| Shop Lake Village First Christmas Campaign

This Christmas season, the Lake Village Chamber of Commerce encourages the community to “Shop Lake Village First” for all their holiday needs. And in this spirit, the Chamber will sponsor a $250 cash drawing for those who bring in their shopping receipts from November 20 through December 18. A minimum purchase of $15 is required and must be made from a Chamber member business. To determine if a business belongs to the Chamber, there should be a small membership sign and a “ Shop Lake Village First Participant” poster displayed in the store.
Christmas gift shopping is encouraged, although any purchase from a Chamber business during this time period is also eligible to enter the drawing. Receipts may be saved and turned in at the same time, or turned in numerous times. There is no limit on entries but only one entry per receipt is allowed. The drawing will take place on December 19 at 10 a.m. and the winner will be notified by phone.
Receipts should be turned in at the Chamber office at 111 Main St (closed on Mondays). For more information and a complete list of member businesses, contact the Lake Village Chamber.

Dee Hennington will be celebrating two years as owner of "Dee’s Treasure Chest" with a Christmas open house from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2. Dee says, “There will be gourmet treats to sample, including delicious sauces, salsas and holiday spiced tea. And the ‘draw for your discount’ is back, too. That most wonderful time of the year will soon be here and the Chamber will ring in the season with its very merry Lake Village Christmas Parade beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 6. This year’s event will see Santa surrounded by and escorted up Main Street by “All Creatures Great and Small.” The Chamber invites businesses, churches and school groups to join in the jolliness and create floats featuring animals—both real and imaginatively created— that embody the holiday spirit. Individuals and their pets are also encouraged to don their Christmas-inspired costumes and sign up for the festive fun! Register now. It’s FREE! Application forms are available a 111 Main Street.

First...you make-ah da meatball! And that means it's time for the Ladies Altar Society's 99th Annual Spaghetti Dinner! Serving up homemade spaghetti, meatballs, Italian bread, salad and heavenly dessert is a time-honored tradition for the Society.

This year's dinner at St. Mary's Parish Hall is between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Carry outs are available from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. (bring your own container or purchase one for $.50). Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids and are available now or at the door. Buon Appetito!!
